Founded by Bella Scott, Landscape Designer based in Wadawurrung country in Torquay. Bella grew up in Gippsland, and remembers summer river swims, building secret cubbies in the garden with her brother and sister, and watching her mother paint.

As a young adult, long hiking trips was where Bella sought connection with nature. More recently, working as a paramedic in Melbourne throughout the pandemic, it was the flowering of natives in her garden that provided comfort and joy, and led to her love for plants. 

In the face of an unfolding environmental crisis, Bella felt worried for the future and wanted to take action. Curious about the relationship between humans and nature, and inspired by conversations with creative peers, Bella completed her Graduate Certificate of Garden Design at Burnley.

Bella believes in designing ecological spaces that are guided by the principles of sustainability, biodiversity and habitat creation. Together with the meaning found in storytelling and nostalgia, she hopes to create thoughtful places for people to be. Bella hopes that in doing so, she can help people and nature alike.
